About the project

The SAFEorFAKE? Toolkit From school to university is a project carried out by AIJU “Instituto Tecnológico del Producto Infantil y Ocio” (Spain) in collaboration with APSI “Associação para a Promoção da Segurança Infantil” (Portugal) with the support of the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

This project is based on the success of the past initiative (SAFEorFAKE? project supported under the CALL FOR PROPOSAL GR/002/21 Support for awareness raising activities about the value of Intellectual Property and the damage caused by counterfeiting and piracy) where
  • it was obtained the educational toolkit SAFEorFAKE? and
  • an awareness campaign was carried out targeting children and primary school teachers on the importance of intellectual property and the risks of counterfeit TOYS with a reach of more than 8 million people in Spain
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:
Transfer of results of the SAFEorFAKE? project to Portugal. Campaign aimed at children between 8 and 12 years old, teachers and future education professionals.
Widening of the age group from
12 to 18 years old in Spain.
Project focused on the products
most used by young people.
Educational resources and awareness-raising activities on the importance of industrial and intellectual property for the development of society and the risks posed by counterfeit products.
